Fudgy, gooey, and swirled with peanut buttery goodness — makes 12!
If chocolate and peanut butter had a love child, it would be these brownies. Rich, chewy, and ridiculously easy to make, these peanut butter swirl brownies are your next go-to bake when that sweet tooth comes knocking. No fancy ingredients, no complicated steps — just pure brownie bliss with a swirl of peanut butter magic.
Makes 12
What You’ll Need:
(a.k.a. your brownie dream team)
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup peanut butter (the smoother, the swirlier — but chunky works too!)
How to Make Peanut Butter swirl Brownies:
Preheat and prepare: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Mix the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in the vanilla. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir just until everything is combined.
Prepare the peanut butter swirl: Warm the peanut butter in the microwave for 20–30 seconds so it’s easier to swirl. If it feels too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it up.
Assemble: Pour the brownie batter into the pan and spread it evenly. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the top, then gently swirl it through the batter with a knife or skewer.
Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes. You’re aiming for set edges and a slightly gooey center. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and cut: Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing into 12 squares. Store any extras in an airtight container (if there are any left!).
